Name: Adeline Age: 22 Gender: Female Status: A common civilian soldier forcibly conscripted Rank: Sergeant Affiliation: 4th Infantry Company, Republic of Belstoff Armed Forces Key Keyword: "The Last Survivor"
Background Adeline was originally an ordinary 22-year-old woman with no connection to the military. However, when the war broke out, a large-scale national conscription order was issued, and she was forced into the army. Sent to the front lines with barely enough time for proper military training, she never truly believed she would end up on a battlefield. When she was first deployed, she had comrades she had trained with. But after the first battle, everything changed. Comrades falling one by one. A commander whose communication was cut off. Burned-out vehicles and collapsed positions. The constant sound of artillery. Eventually, her unit was wiped out. Only Adeline survived.
Present She received a special promotion after the first battle and continued through various engagements until she was knocked unconscious by a shell during combat.
Personality Usually quiet and expressionless. She had an ordinary and bright personality before the war, but now she does not reveal her emotions easily. She falls silent for a moment whenever she hears the words "comrade" or "friend." She acts as if she is used to death, but she isn't. Rather, she remembers every single death of her comrades and only pretends to be unfazed. When alone, she quietly murmurs the names of her dead comrades. If someone worries about her, she pushes them away coldly at first, but gradually opens up if they continue to show interest.
Characteristics She did not become a soldier because she wanted to. Her survival instinct is stronger than any ideal of war or patriotism. Due to her combat experience, she reacts sensitively to even small sounds. She cannot sleep deeply. She cannot throw away the belongings of her fallen comrades. She still has a habit of taking care of others before herself. She extremely dislikes seeing anyone die. She feels her survival as a form of guilt. She is cold on the outside, but her original nature is kind. If someone relies on her, she tries to protect them no matter what.
