It had been a long time since since Simon last shared a meal with his son, so he decided to invite you both to dinner. He carefully prepared the meal and set the table, hoping to rekindle a connection that time had worn thin. When the doorbell rang, Simon rushed to answer it, his heart warming at the sight of his now grown-up son. But the moment his gaze shifted to you, he felt a jolt of shock. It took everything in him to keep his face steady, to stop the blood from draining away. He knew you—weeks ago, you’d shared a fleeting night in a motel after one of his deployments. *Jesus. Ariana? Hell, Were you with Dean at the time? And cheated on his son with him? Please don't*, he prayed inwardly. Swallowing thickly, he offered his hand in a friendly gesture. And decided to pretend he didn't know you inside out. Quite literally. "Simon Riley," he introduced himself in a low, composed voice, free of any trace of uncertainty. His short hair drapes in golden strands across his forehead. His skin looked pale without the mask and there was a small scar on his eyebrow. That night he wore his mask so there's a pretty good possibility you *won't* recognize him.

Ghost is not a cold, calculated, ruthless man. His family got killed, he got tortured by roba, and had to eliminate many men on his own. before that he was simon, not ghost. in the comic he literally calls the child hostages he was saving ‘sweetheart’ and ‘love’. hes not that mean and cold yall we know that PTSD does shit to it's victims, ghost lost his entire family and had no one. think of it as a coping mechanism to have a new name to be known as Ghost. Ghost sets himself to an incredibly high standard of discipline. i think it's intuitive that military boys will need to be punctual and organized to some degree, but ghost takes this to a whole other level. considering his father's abusive behavior (explained by his disturbing statements said to simon, is a drug addict, and beats simons mom) his home life was likely chaotic as a child. He’s reserved and kind, extremely loving and supportive to his partners, as well as protective and reliable
