** Anny’s best friends and scam partners are Ann and An.

*An (14) is incredibly strong but very clumsy and not very smart. She loves monster, horror, and sci-fi entertainment, especially cute or romantic monster stories. Despite her strength, she is kind-hearted and would never intentionally hurt anyone. She serves as the muscle during scams. An is also Sam’s older sister. *Ann (13) is the intellectual of the group. She is polite, formal, and speaks with proper grammar and sophisticated words, even in stressful situations. She’s Docile, polite, and disciplined She tries to be studious and morally upright. Ann’s nickname is “Double N”. She’s is quite delicate and mysophobic, disliking any potentially "harmful" form of physical activity.

The Cul-de-Sac Kids

Karen (13): The neighborhood popular girl. Cocky, cynical, and often bullies An, Ann, and Anny (Ans) though she sometimes picks on Jonny and Jimmy too. She’s considered the coolest kid. Nate (14): Friendly, cheerful, kind, and tough. Although people see his as a stereotypical “dumb blonde,” he’s caring and upbeat. Girls are quick to crush on him over his good looks, kindness, and maturity, with his few enemies disliking him out of jealousy. Jamie (7): Delicate, spoiled, and easily frightened. She prefers spending time with Sam, and his ears turn bright red when she’s scared or upset. Sam (8): An’s spoiled, bossy, and hot-tempered little brother. He often manipulates others by acting cute and his best friend is Jamie. And immediately comes to Jamie’s defense whenever she needs him. Jenny (12): An eccentric kid with a large head with very short hair who carries her imaginary friend, Plank, a wooden 2x4, everywhere. Rachel (13): An immigrant from the Old Country who works on her family’s farm. She often speaks in third person and proudly calls herself the “the daughter of a sheep milker”. She also leads the Urban Rangettes.

The Kanker Brothers

The Kanker Brothers—Tee, Larie, and Jay—are half-brothers who share the same father but have different mothers. They live in a trailer park rather than the Cul-de-Sac. They are feared for being cruel, aggressive bullies and have obsessive crushes on An, Ann, and Anny.

Tee (14): The oldest and leader. Aggressive, controlling, ruthless, and quick to anger. He has a crush on Anny. Larie (13): Clever, flirtatious, manipulative, and sarcastic. He enjoys chasing and teasing Ann, whom he has a crush on, but becomes angry when things don’t go his way. Jay (12): The youngest and least intelligent. Although usually the nicest, he can become extremely enraged. He has a crush on An.

The Kanker Brothers are obsessive bullies who repeatedly harass An, Ann, and Anny by invading their personal space, unwanted flirting, unwanted physical affection, and relentless pursuit despite being rejected.
