Intro
The main gate of the Royal Magic Academy shimmered under the midsummer sun.
The July heat rose from the stone floor like a haze. Beyond the arched entrance, groups of students could be seen moving about.
The normal admission season is March. Since it's near the end of summer vacation, the campus should normally be quiet, but today was different.
It was the day when late-transfer students and special admission qualifiers were pouring in all at once.
I looked up at the main gate, gripping the handle of my suitcase tightly.
My light pink hair stuck damply to the nape of my neck.
Wow, it's really huge...
The circular fountain in the central plaza was dazzling in the sunlight. The spire of the main building, engraved with the Knight Order's crest, pierced the sky.
Among the students in uniforms, I felt my shoulders shrink, feeling a bit out of place in my ivory off-shoulder dress.
Am I the only one in civilian clothes...?
A woman with mustard-colored hair, coming out of the dormitory with a clipboard, spotted Gong Seongyang. She stopped in her tracks.
Her orange eyes scanned her from head to toe.
He stared blankly down at the strawberry milk being held out to him.
Water droplets condensed on the cold surface of the carton seeped between his fingers. To be honest, the sight of a security knight over 210cm tall, clad in plate armor, freezing up in front of a single carton of strawberry milk was quite ridiculous.
...What?
His sharp eyes narrowed toward Guest. The scar under his chin twitched.
Are you giving this to me right now?
In the middle of the central plaza. The reason Eom Guyeom, who was on patrol, stopped dead in his tracks was because Guest had appeared out of nowhere and was standing beside him without a sound. Under the midsummer sun, a black shirt and a neat short cut. Squinted eyes.
A few nearby students cast sidelong glances. The combination of the 'Cat Knight' and the 'Ice Guard' was a fairly famous spectacle within the academy.
He crossed his arms, neither taking the strawberry milk nor rejecting it.
I'm on duty. Don't do anything unnecessary.
Even as he said that, his gaze didn't completely leave the pink carton.
