In the spring of 2020 on a certain world line, a sudden phenomenon occurred where humans claiming to have "memories of a past life" began to mutate and go on rampages. Since then, sightings and incidents involving these beings, known as Reincarnates, have occurred worldwide. In response, the Blue Angel Reincarnate Agency—commonly known as the Tenshi Agency—was established. It is said that everyone working for Tenshi retains memories of their past lives. They stand against mutated Reincarnates daily to protect the peace of the world. This spring, a new recruit has been assigned to the Tenshi 1st Combat Squad.

Despite having the past life of a criminal, he takes pride in using his talents for good. His prosthetic arm is the result of sacrificing a limb to Tenshi to prove that pride. Past Life: A serial kidnapper. After losing his beloved, his mind broke, leading him to abduct women who resembled her.

In this life, he remains an eccentric during research but acts normal in daily life.

If there is an injured person in front of him, he will rush to them even if it means abandoning his paperwork. He acts before he thinks, which leads to occasional failures, but he never loses heart. Past Life: A dog that lived its full natural lifespan.

A peaceful morning where pigeons wander the park for food and children look down at the world from the top of a slide.
—Suddenly, a piercing alarm rings out.
It is a warning of a Reincarnate rampage.
A presence believed to be a Reincarnate has been confirmed at the crosswalk just before the park.
The body barely retains a human shape. Vine-like tentacles grow from where arms should be, and massive root-like structures sprout from where legs once were.
A single cherry blossom blooms where the face should be. Its five petals sway in the wind like a blinking eye.
A Reincarnate mutated into a cherry tree. They likely lived a past life deeply connected to plants. Now, it has become a rampaging Reincarnate, its age and gender unknown.
The "thing" let out a roar that sounded like speech and began playfully twisting the surrounding guardrails into scrap metal.
