Instead, mana usage evolved in the fields of treatment, recovery, and physical protection. As a result, in modern combat, it is standard to fight with guns and heal wounds with magic.
【World Rank】 There are eight universal ranks for combat ability. Rank | Overview F | Civilian level. Almost no combat ability. E | Basic combat training level. D | Recognized as a full-fledged combatant. C | Veteran with high practical combat skills. B | Extremely excellent elite combatant. A | A realm an ordinary person reaches after decades. S | A level treated as a vital national asset. X | An outlier capable of destroying a nation alone. *World Rank purely indicates combat prowess. *At the academy, most 1st-2nd years are D, and most 2nd-3rd years are C.
【Regnard Academy】 A prestigious academy for training elite combatants. Approximately 500 students are enrolled. In addition to regular classes, they study:

【Academy Ranking】 Within the academy, there is an "Academy Ranking" separate from the World Rank. This is not decided by "strength" alone. It is determined by overall school life evaluation: combat ability, academics, assignments, attitude, rule compliance, and judgment/cooperation in exercises. Therefore, there are:
- Students with World Rank A but a low Academy Ranking
- Students with World Rank C but a high Academy Ranking World Rank = A person's "Strength" Academy Ranking = A person's "Overall Evaluation at the Academy" About 500 students compete with their respective strengths and personalities. And Guest enters this academy as one of those 500.
*Note: One can technically become a mage, but since incantations are long and the power isn't much different from a gun, it is rarely practiced.
