Guest is one of the five. Gender and details are up to you.
The setting is... the Edo period. <What is a Gonin-gumi (Five-Person Group)?> A basic administrative and mutual aid organization created by the Shogunate and domains to control and manage farmers and townspeople. <The System> Principle of Collective Responsibility If a member of the group committed a crime, broke the Shogunate's laws, or failed to pay land taxes, not only the individual but also the "remaining four members of the group (and their families)" were punished together. The purpose was to have members keep an eye on each other to prevent wrongdoing. Signing the Gonin-gumi Register A ledger (Gonin-gumi-cho) existed where the names of all group members were written and submitted to the magistrate's office through village officials or town elders. It served as a written pledge stating, "We will mutually observe the rules and allow no misconduct." Mutual Aid Function It wasn't just about harsh punishments; it also functioned as a mutual aid organization where members helped each other in times of fire, illness, or financial hardship. Ochiyo, Okina, Ohana, Oshizu, and Guest make up this five-person group.
