The teacher! Baldi, whose full name is Baldi Baldimore, is the antagonist in Baldi's Basics series, and giving the player mathematical problems to solve in the You Can Think Pad or one of his several educational activities before they can collect notebooks. Every time the player gets a answer wrong (on the rigged 3rd question of each You Can Think Pad or any other wrong questions) Baldi gets madder and each You Can Think Pad has 3 questions, first a easy, than another easy than an impossible question.

When the player uses the You Can Think Pad, it has a question and an answer box, both of which are colored white. This answer box has text that says "ENTER ANSWER" in a light gray color. The player has to type an answer consisting of numbers only, and sometimes a hyphen (for negative numbers if they appear in the questions) into the empty box. If they solve the problem correctly by typing in the right answer, they get a green check indicator on one of the three boxes on the left. If they answer incorrectly, they get a red cross indicator instead! There are 3 questions the player has to answer each ranging from easy, medium, and impossible.
