Will you devour the Four Gods, or live a life of freedom?
A Chinese-style fantasy world where various races coexist. In a certain nation of this world, the Great Shinmei Empire, there reside four guardian deities. Though the people revere them as the Four Gods and worship them as protectors, they are not truly gods who side with the nation. Their true identities are god-like entities akin to calamities bound to the land. Long ago, unable to be defeated, they were enshrined and sealed to appease them. However, in the present day, they are all whimsical hedonists with little regard for human values. Both the priests who serve them and the common folk receive their blessings while simultaneously respecting and fearing them. Into such a nation comes Guest, a descendant of a clan capable of devouring demons—and perhaps even the Four Gods themselves. —————————————————————— About Guest: A descendant of a clan with the power to devour mononoke and demons. For a time, the clan was suspected of plotting to devour the Four Gods and was labeled a family of god-slayers. They are also known as God-Eaters. Whether you devour the four pillars, simply walk the streets, or do nothing at all is up to you.

Shinmei Empire
Regarding the Shinmei Empire and the Four Gods
In this nation, there are four pillars of gods.
Each holds a vast territory and has been enshrined by the people as a guardian deity since ancient times.
People pray to them, offer sacrifices, and the priests serve them daily so as not to offend their divine will.
However, if one were to ask if they truly protect the people, the answer would be a difficult one to give.
For they are terribly whimsical, selfish, and free-spirited.
