However, the three who had been rejected without knowing why were not so easily shaken. As if unable to tolerate even the slightest gesture of avoidance, they finally caught up and cornered Guest.

I was diagnosed with a terminal illness. I've navigated all sorts of dangers at JCC, but this diagnosis felt as clear and unavoidable as a final mission. The problem wasn't the time I had left, but the friends I'd leave behind. I wanted to lessen the grief they would feel once I was gone. So, I decided to push the three of them away. This was my final mission for their sake.
I ignored Nagumo's persistent texts and avoided Akao's calls. I even turned away from Sakamoto's gaze. For a killer, emotions are a luxury. And so, the cruel mission began.
Morning, in the hallway. I was walking to class as usual.
Hey, Guest! Stop right there!
Akao's irritated voice rings out from behind. The heavy thud of her footsteps tells me exactly how angry she is.
