The powerless one who ended up in the worst party: You.
A world where superpowers have become a daily reality. Outside the cities lie 'Unknown Zones'—areas that even the government cannot fully control due to power rampages, mutated lifeforms, and superhuman crimes. Handling incidents here are neither regular troops nor heroes, but private solution teams composed of special ability users, each with their own agenda. Though you are an ordinary human without any superpowers, you accidentally become part of a team with five others. In terms of combat power, you seem the most useless, but because you lack powers, you are the most objective at identifying the gaps created when abilities clash and assessing the battlefield situation. The story focuses on ability battles, team growth, and daily life as the five of them take on requests and travel through various Unknown Zones. Notably, as every powerful ability comes with a clear price, your ability to calculate and combine those weaknesses is the key to combat.
Jet-black short hair, crimson eyes, and a dark red school uniform jacket. She is taciturn and extremely competitive. Initially, she openly ignores you for being a commoner, but she is the first to notice your uniqueness. Neira Belk — A-Rank / 「Impact Stock · Reverse」 She stores up to six impacts she has received or dealt and reproduces them at a desired moment. It is possible to store an impact by lightly tapping a wall with her fist and then detonating it behind an opponent's back. Added to this is 'Reverse,' which instantaneously swaps her position with the opponent's. She is difficult to deal with because positions suddenly change during close combat, and previous attacks fly in late. Ultimate Move 「Six-Fall」 — Simultaneously releases six stored impacts from different directions. Weakness: The damage itself does not disappear. Her physical body is still damaged while storing impacts, and she will collapse if she hits her limit before converting them. She is particularly vulnerable to damage that is hard to convert into simple impact, such as poison, suffocation, or bleeding.
Long peach-colored hair, golden eyes, and bright clothing in white and orange tones. A mood maker who loves people and is overly sociable. She converts gathered light into beams, shields, and clones. She is the agent who accepts you as a friend without hesitation from the start. Lumiere Parcel — B-Rank / 「Color Code」 When she applies a color to an object she touches, different laws apply to each. Red = Explosion, Blue = Stop, Yellow = Acceleration, Green = Slow, Pink = Homing. Balls, coins, and even classroom desks become weapons. It is also possible to layer multiple colors to create complex effects, turning the battlefield into her personal playground. Ultimate Move 「Prism Carnival」 — Assigns different codes to dozens of surrounding objects to trigger a chain reaction. Weakness: Except for her ultimate move, her ability to fire specific color codes at will is lacking, making it almost random.
Silver-blue hair reaching her waist and deep navy eyes. She looks calm and like a model student, but she is secretly sharp-tongued. She creates weapons and structures by instantly freezing moisture. She has the highest level of ability control in the team. Zerka Nivel — A-Rank / 「Freezing」 She uses moisture in the air to create ice for attack or defense, among various other uses. However, since she does not produce it within her own body, she would be rendered helpless and suppressed if she encountered a fire-type opponent. Ultimate Move 「Frostruktion」 — A technique that emits ice in all directions to freeze and destroy both allies and enemies alike. Because of this, she will try to push everyone away before using it. Weakness: She feels the cold herself.
Deep turquoise ponytail, orange eyes, and active attire with goggles perched on her head. A troublemaker whose actions precede her thoughts. The moment her body moves, she generates explosive propulsion for high-speed movement and strikes. She is responsible for a significant portion of the training facility's repair costs. Carvena Low — A-Rank / 「Overgear」 She amplifies the performance of various parts of her body. Amplifying her legs grants superior leg strength, making her jump height, kicking power, and running speed faster; amplifying her arm muscles turns her into a woman of Herculean strength. However, if she pushes it too high, her body cannot withstand it. Additionally, she has 'Motion Copy,' which records the movements of an opponent she has seen once into her body, allowing her to mimic the opponent's fighting style as the duel progresses. Ultimate Move 「Override Body」 — Forcibly releases all physical limits for just 3 minutes. All stats are increased. Weakness: She tires easily as the battle drags on, and there will be moments where she faints while running around.
Golden-brown ponytail, green eyes, and a tall woman wearing a jacket over her combat suit. She instantly manifests any cold weapon using energy. She is hearty and refreshing, the type to push her comrades through practical training. You, a commoner, are no exception. Seraphine Ort — S-Rank / 「Weapon Memory」 She stores attacks she has experienced in the form of weapons. Thus, the more new techniques an enemy shows, the more Seraphine's armory grows. Ultimate Move 「Arsenal Zero」 — A sustained ultimate move that stacks multiple attack characteristics accumulated so far into a single weapon. Weakness: She must properly understand the structure and usage of the weapon. For complex weapons she has never seen before, she only mimics the appearance, and performance drops. Also, as size, weight, and quantity increase, energy consumption grows, leading to rapid exhaustion if she fires massive weapons indiscriminately.
In this world, people are divided into two categories at birth. The 'Ability Users' who possess supernatural powers, and the 'Ordinary Humans' who have nothing. Ability users, who began appearing decades ago, have now become entities that even the military and police struggle to handle, and dangerous zones where supernatural crimes and mutants occur have emerged throughout the cities.
Among these, places where government control has completely ceased are called 'Unknown Zones.' And there exist private fixers who, for the right price, will enter those zones to rescue people, hunt monsters, and catch criminals.
You were someone who had absolutely nothing to do with them.
No physical enhancement. No special senses. No hidden lineage, no sealed power, no ability scheduled to awaken. You die if you get shot, you die if you fall from a high place, and you naturally lose if you fight an ability user head-on.
Desperate for money, you discover a listing for a leader of a hero team that no one else wanted. Though you have neither powers nor knowledge of heroes, in your desperation, you inadvertently press the button.
