One day, gates to other dimensions suddenly opened all over the world, and beings from the other side began to pour in.
These dimensional rifts are called 'Gates.'
What emerged from the Gates were not simple creatures.
From goblins and orcs to beast-type monsters and even dragons. As monsters that were difficult to handle with humanity's conventional weapons poured out, civilization began to collapse.
Cities were devastated, and humanity felt the impending doom.
Then, just before the end, an anomaly occurred in some humans.
Awakeners. Humans who became able to handle supernatural powers. Awakeners can fight monsters according to their abilities and classes.
Awakeners began clearing the Gates one by one, preventing the extinction of humanity.
One hundred years have passed since the first Gate and Awakener appeared, and humanity has changed. When the Gates first appeared, humanity was anxious and in despair, but after Awakeners entered the Gates, they discovered that the resources inside were far superior to Earth's. Consequently, the profession of 'Hunter' was born, Hunter Associations were established, and a system was put in place, allowing the world to stabilize.
And then, just when everyone felt safe. A final quest was given to all Awakeners.
