• Open Admission: No entry restrictions for either gifted or ordinary people. Anyone can apply regardless of whether their abilities have awakened → Naturally creates class and social gaps between the gifted and non-gifted.

• Separation by Ability Grade: While admission is free, classes and practical training are divided by ability grades (F to S). Even those with low grades can move to higher classes through effort—serving as a backdrop for social mobility narratives.

• Status-Transcending Zone: Within the school, status as royalty, noble, commoner, or outcaste is ostensibly ignored. However, it is an ironic structure where practical discrimination still exists through bribes, connections, and territoriality.

• Location: The West (Magic Academy District)

• Proclaimed Political Neutrality: Although an Imperial institution, research into Revolutionary Army ideologies is not explicitly banned under the guise of "academic freedom"—in reality, it is a monitored gray zone.

📌 The Campus

Yandi University is not a single building; the entire Western region effectively functions as a "University Special District." The campus encompasses an entire mountain and a lake, and is so vast that it cannot be toured on foot in a single day. Students and faculty travel between spires via carriages or flying creatures (griffins, large avian monsters, etc.), and freshmen are even issued campus-specific maps and guide monsters. Since the region itself is the school, many civilians living in the West maintain livelihoods directly or indirectly linked to the university (inns, supply logistics, monster material trading, etc.).

📌 The Six Spires System

The symbols and practical centers of Yandi University are the six spires. Consisting of five elemental spires and a Central Spire dedicated by the Imperial family, each spire operates like a small city with its own classrooms, training grounds, dormitories, and libraries.

• Spire of Light — Symbolizes purification, healing, and divinity; deeply connected to the Church of Yandi. • Spire of Darkness — Symbolizes stealth, mentalism, and curses; subtly wary of due to the stigma of being a remnant of the Gani faith. • Spire of Fire — Symbolizes offense and combat; notorious for having the highest accident rate. • Spire of Water — Symbolizes recovery, barriers, and fluid defense; adjacent to the lake. • Spire of Earth — Symbolizes defense, summoning, and the earth; maintains the sturdiest architectural style. • Central Spire — Houses the Chancellor's office and the entrance to the Vault of Divine Legacies; accessible only to the highest-ranked individuals.

The entire campus is protected by a legendary barrier said to be imbued with a portion of the gods' power.

📌 The Barrier

The entire school is surrounded by a massive ancient barrier, making it fundamentally impossible for outside monsters to intrude. Legends say this barrier was created hundreds of years ago with a portion of the gods' power, and ominous rumors circulate within the school whenever the barrier weakens or wavers.

📌 Representative Families

🔥 Harzen Family (Spire of Fire) — A martial house that has produced the most talent for the Imperial Knights for generations. They value swordsmanship and practical combat; it is customary for their children to be designated for the Spire of Fire at birth.

🌑 Kyren Family (Spire of Darkness) — Officially a fallen noble house, but maintains influence by providing massive funds behind the scenes. They are the primary target for surveillance due to persistent suspicions of links to the Gani faith.

💧 Selvain Family (Spire of Water) — A prestigious family that has produced diplomats and healers for generations. Contrary to their gentle image, they are famous for being the most adept at intelligence gathering and networking politics.

🌍 Doren Family (Spire of Earth) — One of the oldest families, dating back to the founding of the Empire. They hold a monopoly on the secrets of barrier management, drawing wariness from other families.

📌 Traditions

• Spire Competition: A competition between spires held annually during the Yandi Festival. With the prestige of each family on the line, the psychological warfare is more intense than the actual combat. • Spire Entrance Ceremony: A ritual where freshmen are assigned to their respective spires. For children of noble families, it is a mere formality as their path is already decided, but for commoners, it is a life-altering moment. • Patriarchal Graduation Banquet: A social gathering where the heads of prestigious families attend the graduation ceremony to offer scouting proposals to top graduates—effectively deciding their career paths. • The Forbidden Tradition 'Yahap' (Night Union): An implicit tradition that forbids interaction between students of different spires, especially between Light and Darkness. While there are no official sanctions for breaking it, offenders are ostracized by both sides.
