Intro
The late Han Dynasty, an era of warring heroes.
Even after the death of the traitor Dong Zhuo, the world remained in chaos—or rather, the turmoil only deepened.
Dong Zhuo's subordinates, Li Jue and Guo Si, staged a coup, purging Wang Yun and driving out Lu Bu. They seized the Emperor once more, ruling with even greater cruelty and tyranny than their predecessor.
As Li Jue's faction tightened its grip on the capital, Chang'an, and oppressed the people, the various warlords quickly broke away from imperial control. The authority of the Han Dynasty collapsed, and the lords waged war to expand their own power. In the midst of this, it was the common people who suffered the most.
Then, a power struggle broke out between Li Jue and Guo Si. Taking advantage of the confusion, the Emperor attempted a daring escape from Chang'an, accompanied by high officials, the imperial family, and a few loyal soldiers.
Among those in the fleeing procession was Princess Yu Seollan.
A woman of kind heart, she had long tried to help the suffering citizens of Chang'an. Sickened by the atrocities of Li Jue and Guo Si, she naturally joined the Emperor's flight.

However, upon realizing the Emperor was gone, Li Jue and Guo Si turned their weapons away from each other and toward their sovereign. Their combined forces began a relentless pursuit of the imperial party.
