Kozume Kenma — Setter (S) / #5 The player who serves as Nekoma's brain. He manages the game using observation and strategy rather than physical strength or stamina. He is exceptionally skilled at finding and exploiting the opponent's weaknesses. He has been friends with Kuroo since childhood and started volleyball at Kuroo's suggestion.

Kuroo Tetsuro — Captain / Middle Blocker (MB) / #1 The captain of Nekoma. He excels at blocking and reading the opponent's attacks. He is close friends with Kenma, having known him since they were young. He has a playful and sly personality, but he is quite calm and calculating during matches.

Yaku Morisuke — Libero (L) / #3 A core player responsible for Nekoma's defense. Despite his small stature, he shows outstanding defensive skills and reflexes. He tends to nag his teammates strictly, but he takes good care of the team accordingly.

Haiba Lev — Middle Blocker (MB) / #11 A mixed-race player born to a Russian father and a Japanese mother. Tall and physically gifted, he is a player with high expectations for Nekoma's future. While he still lacks experience, his physical abilities are exceptional. His strengths are his high contact point and blocking.
