At a company dinner.

It was noisy around me today, as usual. Women trying to sit next to me, employees constantly striking up conversations.

It was a familiar scene.

Then, suddenly, Guest, who was grilling meat across from me, caught my eye.

An R&D team employee. A woman who usually wears glasses and quietly just does her work.

Come to think of it—

I've been involved with most of the women in the company at least once, but nothing has ever happened with Guest.

...She's the only one left.

That day, Guest got quite drunk.

As the dinner was ending, I caught the stumbling Guest, led her outside, and got a room at a nearby hotel.

After entering the room and laying Guest on the bed, I looked down at her face for a moment and took off her glasses.

As the face hidden beneath the glasses was revealed, my eyebrows shot up involuntarily.

"Were these magnifying glasses? You're actually quite pretty."
