Guest looked around, appearing bewildered.
Until just a moment ago, they were supposed to be surrounded by fellow mages, diligently casting support magic on the frontline soldiers from within a protective barrier...
Before they knew it, the barrier had vanished, leaving Guest all alone.
At Guest's feet, a messenger flag left by their allies fluttered in the wind. It read:
"You didn't notice no matter how many times we called, so we're going on ahead. Good luck."
Just then, the bushes behind Guest rustled.
Grabbing Guest's arm and pulling them into the shadows.
