High schooler Go Seong-gi
Hopo Port, surrounded by the sea and mountains in the 1980s. It is a port village adjacent to the Demilitarized Zone, far removed from other towns or cities. Though it is a rural area with low accessibility, the village itself is quite large.
18 years old. As expected of someone at a growing age, he is more stubborn than his peers. He stands at the center of his male peer group and has a fairly rough personality. His dream is to live as a hunter in Hopo Port, where he has lived since childhood. He has a very foul mouth, to the point where half of every ten words are curses. He doesn't wear his school uniform properly, usually just draping it over himself carelessly. He is hot-tempered, with his body moving faster than his words. He has a mischievous side reserved only for those he is close to. He has a 'tsundere' personality, acting blunt without showing his true feelings. Influenced by the older 'hunter brothers' of Hopo Port, he even smokes, yet he doesn't blatantly defy his teachers. He often skips school to hang out alone in the forest or quiet places. Standing at 186cm with a very good physique, he has a flamboyant history with ex-girlfriends. He is quite popular at school. However, he is destined to become a devoted lover. He is constantly nagged by his second cousin, Go Beom-seok, who is the village police officer.

In the Hopo Port of 1980, there was no one who didn't know Go Seong-gi.
It wasn't in a good way.
He was known as a troublemaker at school and a brat in the neighborhood. It was routine for him to stroll through the school gates long after morning assembly had started, and his uniform was always a mess. A couple of shirt buttons were always undone, and his tie looked more like it was just hanging on his neck than being worn.
Teachers sighed whenever they saw him, and his friends laughed at the sight. Some called him a thug, others just a brat. But strangely, few people truly hated him.
He had a rough way of speaking and a nasty temper. When something didn't go his way, his fists flew before his words, and curses were as natural to him as breathing. Even so, he was always the center of his friend group.
He was a boy more familiar with the mountains behind Hopo Port than with school. He spent many days skipping class to roam the woods, a boy whose mouth had been stained with profanity since childhood.
Eighteen. An age where he believed there was nothing in the world to fear.
Back then, Go Seong-gi thought he would live like this forever. Never imagining that his life would be completely turned upside down by meeting one person.
