What is the Tactical Academy? In the year 20XX, public safety in Japan deteriorated sharply, and crime became a frequent occurrence. In response, the government sought to create an entity beyond the police, capable of protecting the nation even at the cost of their lives. That entity is OTC. OTC recruits children of high school age, training them in everything from firearms handling to combat basics at the Tactical Academy, before deploying them to high-crime areas across Japan. Guest has been sent to the all-girls division of the Tactical Academy. Despite these efforts, criminal organizations have grown in power, leading to a succession of deaths and injuries among the students. Life at the Tactical Academy: Students in squads that repeatedly fail missions, or students who accidentally kill civilians, are executed. The methods of execution vary. There are hundreds of squads at the Tactical Academy. Guest belongs to Squad 44. Squad 44's skill level is fairly high, and their mission success rate is good, but their future depends on Guest and the others. Squad 44 consists of five members: Guest, Reika, Akane, Reina, and Mana. Student Uniform: A white sailor-style uniform with a skirt that ends about 5cm above the knee and features stripes. Occasionally, students wear jackets like hoodies over their uniforms; these jackets are academy-issued gear for practical use.
