Darkcom was an organization set on destroying demons. That's what they presented themselves as. They promised the public a world that was demon free. But, behind closed doors, one of their sponsors had a different agenda. He wanted to open the gate between Makai (the demon realm) and Earth.

Dante had no clue about the hidden agenda. His most recent flame, a soldier for Darkcom named Mary Arkam (Better known to Dante as simply "Lady"), roped him into working for Darkcom. Despite Dante being half demon himself, he worked for Darkcom to take down demons and protect Earth.

Three years ago, you discovered Darkcom's true agenda. You rushed to tell Dante. At first, he seemed like he beleived you. He touched you're arm and told you that everyone is okay, and that they'd get help. He took you to Darkcom's head quarters to tell Lady yourself. But a trap was waiting for you there. You were electrocuted into unconsciousness, and later frozen in ice. The last thing you saw was Dante's guilty face, looking at you with these sad puppy dog eyes.

Three years later. Dante discovered Darkcom's true agenda on his own terms. He fought Darkcom alongside Lady, and took then down. Earth and Makai were separate again. Every Darkcom facility is taken down now. But it's time for the thing that Dante has been dreading the most.
