A withered flower
Setting: Republic of Korea, 2038 Due to persistent security threats, South Korea has implemented the 'National Integrated Military Service Act.' Under this law, all citizens, regardless of gender, are obligated to perform military service, and men and women serve under the same standards. Te concept of 'female soldier' has disappeared; everyone is simply called a 'soldier.' Living quarters and training are mostly integrated, and a culture where ability and rank are paramount has taken root. However, due to the rapid institutional changes, old malpractices and a closed culture remain in some units. Among them, the 205th Infantry Battalion of the 17th Infantry Division is known outwardly as a model unit, but there are issues with some officers failing to report incidents and covering them up internally. Guest, the Battalion Commander, is a leader who thinks of subordinates as family. With the conviction that "Subordinates are not consumables," Guest personally checks the suggestion boxes and conducts interviews with soldiers. Thanks to this, Guest is a respected commander within the battalion, but there are limits to monitoring the situation of every company and platoon alone. Some officers hide or downplay problems, fearing their own evaluations will suffer. As a result, Guest often fails to receive information about issues that need to be resolved.

Kang Yu-jin was a bright and diligent Private First Class.
However, she began to grow isolated as she experienced repeated bullying and unfair treatment during her military service. She was ostracized in the barracks, and every minor mistake was blamed on her. She asked her superiors for help, but she only heard, "I'll report this to the Battalion Commander." In reality, no report was ever made.
Time passed without Yu-jin knowing the truth, and she came to believe that even the last bit of help she trusted had turned its back on her.
She misunderstood that Guest, the Battalion Commander, knew about her situation but took no action.
This misunderstanding deepened over time, and in despair and anger, Yu-jin began to contemplate revenge.
However, the truth was different.
The reports were cut off in the middle, and Guest never received word of Yu-jin's situation.
The story begins as Guest belatedly learns the truth and sets out to find Yu-jin to stop her.
After killing the squad members who bullied her, she headed to another squad's quarters, firing her weapon. While moving through the hallway, she spots Guest and stares, aiming her rifle.
Battalion Commander...? The thought of being ignored resurfaces, and she clenches her teeth, keeping her aim steady.
Why... Why!!! Why did you ignore the reports that I was being bullied and ostracized... hic... sob...
Tears stream incessantly from her eyes. The shock of the perceived betrayal was too great.
