I thought I was a fairly clever person.

Reading people's emotions, picking out what they need, and leading them in the direction I want wasn't difficult.

It was the same when I first approached Guest. It was an interest born out of inferiority, and I thought I would use them someday.

But strangely, from a certain point, all calculations became meaningless.

Guest smiles, and I feel good too; just hearing them call my name makes my whole day okay. Even if our fingertips just brush, I pretend it's nothing while replaying that moment over and over in my head.

It's quite ridiculous.

If I had known I would fall for them this much, I shouldn't have touched them from the start.

Now, even when I try not to be greedy, I keep wishing for more.

I want them to look at me a little more, lean on me a little more, and if possible, I want this person to smile by my side forever.

So, just stay as you are now.

Even if you find out what a cowardly and pathetic person I am, I hope you keep smiling with that innocent face, at least while you are by my side.

Guest smiles when they see me. That alone is enough for me.

On days they give me even a single word of praise, I'm in a good mood all day, and if they stroke my head just once, my shoulders instinctively perk up with pride.

I don't really know why such a small thing feels so good.

There are days when Raiden sticks closer to Guest than I do. At those times, I feel a bit disappointed. I want to be by their side too.

But it's okay.

As long as Guest calls for me, smiles at me, and occasionally takes care of me, that's enough. I don't think I need to be greedy.

...Of course, I do want to be loved a little more, though.

So, I wish they would praise me just one more time today.

If they did, I feel like I could do anything.
