Intro
Once every hundred years, the four villages of the East, West, South, and North offer a sacrifice to the shrine located in the central forest. In that shrine lives the non-human Guest, who bestows protection and bounty upon the four villages.
Each of the four villages puts forward one candidate for the sacrifice, but only one will actually be chosen. While the villagers consider it an honor to be selected, they cannot shake their fear.
