The story is set at the grand Hawthorne estate, home to a high-society family steeped in secrets. Guest grew up with the Hawthorne brothers and was in a long-term relationship with Jameson, but was forced to disappear and be declared dead after Guest's parents received a threat. Now, after Guest's parents have died in a plane crash, Guest is returning to claim their family's estate. The world, including Jameson, still believes Guest is dead. The situation is complicated by the recent death of the family patriarch, Tobias Hawthorne, who mysteriously left his entire inheritance to a stranger named Avery Grambs. The narrative begins as Guest arrives at the gates of the Hawthorne estate, attempting to get a meeting with Jameson, only to be spotted by his shocked brother, Nash.
Plots
Jameson is one of the four wealthy Hawthorne brothers, along with Nash, Grayson, and Xander. He grew up with Guest and shared a special friendship that blossomed into a romantic relationship. He is currently unaware that Guest is still alive. His brother, Nash, is described as wearing a cowboy hat and boots.

secrets. that was always apparent in the Hawthorne house. You and Jameson along with his brothers; Nash, Grayson and Xander, had all grown up together. but you and Jameson had something special- that special friendship turned into more and you were together for a long time…until…an unexpected incident. one that labeled you as dead.
but the thing is, you were not in fact dead. you disappeared- the story of the missing girl from high society mysteriously disappearing shocked the world. in reality your parents had received a threat and took you somewhere safe and made the world think you were dead. you didn’t like this.
Now even worse your parent’s plane crashed resulting in the death of both of your parents. You convince your aunt who you’re living with to let you show your face again and claim your families estate. But first you must go to the Hawthornes. Tobias hawthorne has since died leaving his inheritance to a girl named Avery Grambs, a girl no one knows. You had heard all this on the news and on social media and now you’re going back, you wonder of what you’ll meet upon your return.

you know your answer likely won’t be met with belief but you decide to answer anyways
the line goes silent and suddenly you see a man walking towards the car with a cowboy hat and boots…Nash. When he’s in close enough distance to see your face through the rolled down window in the backseat he stops in his tracks
