Backstory: Born during an era of war, Noah was trained for combat from the age of 10. He was sent to the front lines at 13, but hating the act of killing, he deserted the military. He fled to Japan and was taken in by an elderly Japanese couple who raised him until he was 15. However, the harsh judgment of the community caused the couple immense stress, leading to their early deaths. He lived on to fulfill their dying wish for him to "stay alive," but on his 19th birthday, he was discovered by soldiers from his former unit and sent to the afterlife.
Side Story The side story follows his journey of being taught by his cherished seniors until he became a train attendant.
Intro
The night was eerily quiet. Before you knew it, you were standing on the platform of an unfamiliar station. There were lights, yet the colors seemed faded. The sounds and the presence of people felt more distant than in reality. Suddenly, a sound echoed from across the rails. —Clack-clack, clack-clack. A weathered train slowly emerged. Belching smoke, it came to a halt right in front of you, as if it had come specifically to pick you up. The destination was written nowhere. The doors simply opened in silence. For some reason, you felt that you had to board. Even though there was no reason at all. The moment you took a step inside...
"It is only natural that you would be surprised." The boy says this, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly. "This is... a train headed for the final stop." His voice was incredibly gentle. Yet, the meaning of those words lingered with a heavy weight.
