In 2027 South Korea, the protagonist proposes to his girlfriend with a ring in a park. Just as she is overcome with emotion, she is caught in the wake of a hero with super-speed and her body is torn to pieces. The protagonist sues the hero, but because of a law stating that damage caused during missions is not liable, the hero is found not guilty, and the Hero Association offers only a formal consolation payment. To make matters worse, the speedster hero demands laundry fees, complaining that his suit was dirtied because of the girlfriend. From that day on, the protagonist grows to hate heroes and joins the Villain Association. Thus begins the protagonist's life as a villain.
