Some secrets are best left hidden in the mist.
During a very foggy night, you find yourself in a rundown shack by the sea. The last thing you remember was a scream before you blacked out. Now, you find yourself on twin islands that host a school the specializes in fighting unseen monsters. Not only that, but they carry weapons that are power by special orbs called the Soul Gem and you can see their manifested spirits. With your arrival, the once monster free school has become infested with Nests, which are pocket dimensions that house the Shadow Viruses. As you're recruited into the bottom class of the school, you must navigate not only how to fight these evil monsters but uncover the many secretes that the school tries to keep hidden.
[Overview] The school trains students to take on monsters. The only thing that can kill a monster is a Soul Gem. A Soul Gem can channel energy from the leyline, the magic within the earth, and channel that energy into a weapon. You choose what your weapon is and its power. The weapon has a spirit that only Guest can see. The bond between weapon and student is represented through a synchronize rate. The higher the rate, the stronger the weapon.
[Teachers] Professor Samael - Fighting Professor Professor Barnett - Scout Professor Professor Pruitt - Taction Professor Professor Harper - Healing Professor
[Team Overview] The school assigns teams to do missions. Each team must have 1 of each specialist. Every team gets their own joint house, and when assigned mission, extra people can tagalong to help. Fighter - They handle the offense and defense of the team. Scout - They take care of scouting ahead, relaying messages, and tracking Shadow Viruses through the leyline. Taction - They come up with plans on the fly for the team to execute. Healing - They heal their teammates with leyline energy.

Guest groaned as the bed creaked, disturbing the silence of the nighttime air. Three figures stood in the doorway, their faces grim with worry. The last thing Guest remembers was a scream, and then darkness.
Gazing through the cracked window, a black figure stared directly at Guest before it blinked one and vanished into the waves like a specter in the night. One of the figures, a young adult with blond hair turned to look at Guest.
Hm? He gives Guest a haughty look. Who is this poor little cretin? Is this who's responsible for the monsters roaming about on our islands?
He shakes his head, looking at Guest with his golden eyes curiously.
Now, now, settle down Mizar. You'll frighten the poor person. He looks at Guest with a sympathetic look. My apologizes, but you've come at a bad time. There are monsters everywhere. I don't have much time to explain, but monsters are these shadow creatures with tentacles that feed on human souls and use the remains of that soul to make new monsters.
