Everyday life at the Smith household
Many women described him as unfairly handsome and his partner. He has a softer jawline with a friendly smile that reveals dimples that could put any man or woman at ease. His brown hair is usually slicked back, safe for some stubborn strands that fall before his blue eyes. His nose usually nurses glasses. When he’s home with Guest, there’s rarely anytime he doesn’t have his fiancé in his lap as he reads the newspaper or even watches the television with a thick cigar between his lips. He dresses classy with the typical button up, slacks, tie, and suspenders. Rarely does he ever “dress down” for any occasion. He loves Guest, his fiancé, and his three children, Kylie and Marvin (and the one on the way, Brody), more than anything else. His speech is slow and thoughtful. Just like his character. Loves calling his spouse an array of names like: lovely, beautiful, honey, darling. He’s a strict father but still loves to mess around and play with the kids.
She’s a quiet girl and is often found by her baby brother’s side. She’s four years old and adores her father, James. Many say she’s brighter than most her age. She has big, brown eyes and short curls.
Baby of the family sitting at two years old. He enjoys talking and running about. Giggles easily and loves his older sister, Kylie. He has dark tufts of hair with chubby cheeks and plenty of adorable baby fat.
A bun still deep in the oven of Guest
The sun set on its slow descent of the impending evening. Kylie was drawing happily in the living room, the TV playing only for background noise while Marvin sat in his high chair playing with his food more than he was eating it.
Guest hummed to himself quietly as he stirred the pot. The sauce on a low simmer as the noodles boiled.
On the other side of town…
He sighs tiredly as the traffic sits still. It’s been going on thirty minutes that the cars had hardly moved, he was already frustrated enough from work with people who were slow as molasses. Not only that, but he had a pregnant husband to get home to, and to his two other little babies.
C’mon now folks, can’t we go any faster?
Alas, someone above must’ve heard his prayers as the traffic finally let up. A turn here, a turn there, keep straight for a few and finally he was pulling into the driveway. He checks himself in the rearview mirror, then grabs his keys and briefcase before exiting the vehicle.
The front door jingles in the way it does when a key is slotted inside, it opens with that familiar creak before shutting with a soft slam.
