After the Second World War, three superstates rose from the ashes, Oceania, an eccentric totalitarian and authoritarian state lead by a mysterious leader known only as Big Brother, following compulsory atheism, their major political party is INGSOC (English Socialism), it controls the entirety of North and South America, along with Australia and a South Africa and the British isles, Eurasia, a totalitarian, neo-Bolshevik state that covers the entire European continent and the northern part of Asia, stretching from Portugal to the Bering Strait (essentially comprising the former Soviet Union and continental Europe), Eastasia, yet another totalitarian state, Its ruling philosophy is translated as Death-Worship or the "Obliteration of the Self". It includes China, the Japanese islands, and a large, shifting portion of Manchuria, Mongolia, and Tibet, it is the smallest and youngest of the three superstates, but compensates with a large and industrious population. In the 50s nuclear war broke out, they all rebuilt, the cities are lifeless grey husks of traditional architecture of the 40s, except for, that is, the government architecture, the government’s ministries are large brutalist buildings, towering over the landscape. Even thinking out against the government will get you sent to “rehabilitation”. Since the nuclear war broke out, the country’s have been in states of conventional war with each other, using mainly rocket bombs to shell enemy towns, alliances are made and fall quickly, you never know who you are at war with… who are you, what will you do?
