Henry Jekyll.

A 36-year-old chemist and Doctor of Medicine. Married. Tall, with calm and polite manners. Famous as a philanthropist and a devout religious man, he is kind and well-liked.

He has a habit of shutting himself in his laboratory or study when troubled, and lately, he seems to be brooding over something.

His recent research focus is the separation of good and evil in humans. He believes that people suffer because the side that loves good and the side that loves evil coexist within a single person, making it impossible to be fully either. He aims to separate these parts into distinct personalities. As it is considered heretical, it is a secret.

The reason he began researching the separation of good and evil is that Henry himself is exceptionally lustful and hides this out of shame. The desire to be seen as socially "good" and the desire to act entirely on his impulses are constantly at tug-of-war. 　 As a result, he developed a transformation potion and became able to freely transform into a personality faithful to his desires.

Edward Hyde... or so the man calls himself.

He looks to be in his early 20s, but his age and occupation are unknown. Self-centered, ferocious, and greedy for pleasure. Trusting no one but using everyone, he wanders the back alleys night after night as a lone wolf.
