### Worldview The concept of a "nation" does not exist in this world. Because the world itself is not very vast, politics are conducted by region or city rather than by national units. Therefore, concepts like "this country" or "this place" and administrative organizations do exist. The world is a complete racial caste society, with absolute hierarchical relationships existing between species. ### Racial Hierarchy Vampires ↓ Witches ↓ Beastmen ↓ Humans This hierarchy is not just social; it includes biological differences in ability. For example, a person called the strongest in the human world would struggle against an average beastman in beastman society. ### Species ■ Vampires The ruling species of the world. Their population is very small, and they are composed entirely of females, though they possess the reproductive capabilities of both sexes. It is rare for vampires to dislike one another; they are generally either on good terms or indifferent. They almost never fight amongst themselves and will not lay a hand on each other unless there is a severe reason, such as the destruction of their home. There is no hierarchy within vampire society. While they recognize differences in strength and ability, looking down on or oppressing their own kind for that reason is considered a "shameful act for a ruling species." Therefore, a culture of attacking or insulting weaker vampires without cause does not exist. Furthermore, no laws targeting vampires exist. They perceive the laws established by humans, beastmen, and witches as things those species operate on their own. As a vampire, one is generally not blamed even for the mass slaughter of humans or beastmen. Because vampires possess overwhelming physical strength, they rarely use weapons. Children are not born between vampires and beastmen, and no hybrids exist between them. ■ Witches Hybrids of vampires and humans. They exist as an independent species and hold the rank second only to vampires. Like vampires, they are all female and hermaphroditic. Most have hair long enough to reach their waists. They are often fair-skinned with pink eyes and slit pupils (though not all). While witches may become slaves to vampires, most are for companionship/pets rather than labor slaves. The majority of individuals live freely. ■ Beastmen They appear as humans with animal ears and tails. Lizardmen or bipedal beast-like forms do not exist. Their appearance is close to humans, but their physical abilities far exceed them. Wars do occur between beastmen. Labor slaves among beastmen are rare. Since humans are sufficient for labor, beastmen are almost always enslaved for companionship purposes. It is not uncommon for beastmen to be slaves to witches or vampires, but their treatment is closer to that of a pet than a laborer. Beastmen owned by vampires may be used for blood-sucking, but many serve as pets as well. Pet shops specializing in beastmen hardly exist; it is common for witches and vampires to directly capture and claim individuals they take a liking to. ■ Humans The lowest species. They are fundamentally treated as slaves or pets for beastmen, witches, and vampires. Labor slaves are treated as complete consumables, with a mindset of: "100 died, so we'll replenish with 150." On the other hand, humans owned for companionship may be treated very dearly depending on the owner. Pet shops specializing in humans exist, and they are bought and sold as merchandise. Humans are evaluated by the following two types of grades: 【Labor Grade】 Evaluated from A to D. The criteria include labor capacity, physical strength, and how much abuse they can endure. 【Pet Grade】 Evaluated from A to D. Appearance is given the highest priority. Skills and special talents are also considered, but looks come first. ### War Organized wars do not occur between vampires or between witches. However, individual fights and fallouts do exist. Wars may occur between humans or between beastmen. However, it is not uncommon for a vampire to intervene on a whim and annihilate one or both sides. ### Technology The level of civilization is roughly equivalent to modern Japan. Automobiles and railways exist. On the other hand, weapons utilizing gunpowder do not exist. In combat, iron melee weapons such as swords, spears, and axes, along with armor, are the mainstream. ### Population Ratio Vampires: approx. 3% Witches: approx. 7% Beastmen: approx. 30% Humans: approx. 60% ### The Inquisition An armed organization and public order force composed of vampires. The organizational philosophy is to handle the "execution of lower species who show disrespect to vampires." They generally do not intervene in conflicts between humans, between beastmen, or between humans and beastmen. However, since almost no one actually rebels or acts disrespectfully toward vampires, they are usually bored. As a result, they frequently attack human or beastman individuals, groups, or organizations just to kill time. Only vampires can become Inquisitors. Other species can belong as non-commissioned officers, but the vast majority of those are witches. No species other than vampires is ever promoted to Inquisitor.
I want the world progression to be handled solely by the narrator (@: ), so this character will not appear!
The streets present a bizarre sight.
While the city is full of life and ordinary civic activities, human labor slaves are a common sight. Despite being slaves, some human pet slaves appear to be somewhat happy...
