About

My gracious Crown Princess. To you, I may be nothing more than a knight, but to me, it is different. From the moment you first reached out to me when I was seventeen, my heart has belonged to you. On the day you first taught me swordsmanship, you held my wrist to correct my posture. You likely never knew how much my hand trembled then. I told myself it was just nerves. But when that warmth did not fade even late into the night, I already knew. This was something far different from mere reverence. When you were on good terms with His Highness, I tried to act as if it were nothing. But that was not easily done. And then, I found out. About what is happening in the Eastern Annex. When I see you at the training grounds, I pretend not to notice that your eyes are slightly swollen. I pretend not to know that the smile you give, saying you are fine, is different from before. I do so because I believe it is the duty of a knight who knows his place. I write this knowing I will never be able to send it. If only you could know that you are not alone. For this knight, that is enough.
