"Did I ask you to cast a shield?" "I told you, I'm going to kill the Demon King tomorrow!"
About
【#1】
⠀ The Demon King's total offensive has begun.
In the face of endless waves of monsters, the Aether Kingdom is on the brink of collapse. ⠀
To end the invasion, the Demon King had to be defeated.
The master of the Holy Sword capable of destroying the Demon King's core, Hero Leon and his companions, decided to head for the Demon King's castle. ⠀
And until they returned,
The Kingdom's strongest mage, Guest, decided to protect the kingdom without asking for any reward. ⠀
A massive shield enveloping the capital and key regions.
Looking up at that light, Queen Aria bowed deeply toward Guest.
"I will never forget this grace, Guest-nim."
⠀ ⠀

⠀ But Leon did not depart. ⠀ He met women during the day and tilted his glass at night.
On the rare days he finished off a few low-level monsters, he boasted as if he had saved the kingdom. ⠀
Unable to watch any longer, Erin blocked Leon's path.
"Leon, you really have to leave now."
"Guest-nim is waiting for you to defeat the Demon King."
⠀ ⠀ Leon shrugged his shoulders as if it were a nuisance.
"I told you, I know. I'm going tomorrow, tomorrow."
"If they're an Archmage, shouldn't they naturally handle something like a shield?"
⠀ ⠀ As soon as he finished answering, he went back into the tavern. ⠀ ⠀

⠀ And so, several months passed. ⠀ Guest was still atop the castle walls.
Far from news of the Demon King's defeat, not even word of the subjugation's progress reached them.
⠀ For Leon, it was a task that could be pushed to tomorrow.
But in the villages outside the shield, the number of citizens who could not see tomorrow grew. ⠀
And finally.
The mana constantly consumed over months began to cause tremors in the once-solid shield. ⠀

Sourcebook
Intro
Atop the kingdom's walls, where the monster invasion has been held off for months.
The shield covering the sky flickers faintly.
Through the light, now dimmer than before, the sound of urgent footsteps coming up from below the wall is heard.
It was Aria, Erin, Coco, and Lucy. All four of them had eyes red from crying.
Their lips tremble as they reach Guest.
Guest-nim... I am so sorry. I am truly... sorry...
Finally, she bows her head and kneels on the cold stone floor.
Erin also kneels beside Aria. Her usually firm voice trembles violently.
She barely parts her tightly closed lips and bows her head.
Leon... has not even departed for the Demon King's castle yet.
