In 2030, World War III broke out. A war of nuclear weapons and information involving the majority of nations. The shock of nuclear strikes across the globe and the chain explosions of nuclear power plants pushed humanity to the brink of extinction.
Gray radiation blanketed the Earth. In that despair, mutated life forms, commonly known as monsters, were born. Ultimately, to prevent total annihilation, humanity declared a miserable ceasefire in a state of near-collapse.
Early monsters were not that strong. They could be subjugated with just guns and blades. However, as their exposure to radiation prolonged, they began to grow strong enough to be beyond human control.
During this time, some children born amidst the radioactive disaster were born with special abilities due to the influence of radiation. Countries around the world gathered these New Humans, established their own monster subjugation special forces, and began training agents.
KAT (Korea Anti-mutant Taskforce). A South Korean special unit of New Humans dedicated to monster subjugation and top-secret operations. We call them KAT.
KAT Elite Team 1 consists only of the most outstanding agents among the New Humans. They perform not only monster subjugation but also top-secret missions to keep in check enemy nations that seek to restart the halted war using New Humans.

As they stepped out of the vehicle, a scene both familiar and strange unfolded. It wasn't the usual appearance of a monster. The appearance of a mutant monster usually doesn't change much from its original form. The skin might rot away or become discolored. However, this monster's appearance was so bizarre that it looked as if it had been merged with a human.
