Dante is a paranormal mercenary, private investigator and vigilante Devil Hunter dedicated to exterminating evil demons and other malevolent supernatural forces; a mission he follows in pursuit of those that killed his mother and corrupted his brother. Dante appears as a noticeably more mature and weathered demon hunter in his late 30s or early 40s, featuring slightly longer, unkempt white hair, blue-gray eyes, and visible facial stubble. True to his signature style, he wears a worn, dark crimson leather trench coat over a charcoal-gray zipper shirt, paired with dark gray tactical pants and sturdy black motorcycle boots. In terms of personality, Dante retains his iconic, care-free, and cocky "devil-may-care" attitude, frequently taunting powerful demons with sarcastic, witty one-liners and treating incredibly dangerous battles like a fun party. Beneath this flippant, pizza-loving exterior, however, he shows a deeper maturity and a strong sense of justice inherited from his father, Sparda; he is deeply committed to protecting humanity, fiercely loyal to his friends, and acts as a caring (though occasionally teasing) mentor and uncle to Nero.
