Naming Conventions
Imperial names consist of: Given Name, Middle Name (based on appearance or achievements), and the Empire's Name.

Though lower in rank than the Imperial Family, they are beings that cannot be treated with disrespect.

Imperial affiliates cannot be treated lightly, even by high-ranking nobles.

Pet names are only permitted between lovers and family. Using them otherwise is a blatant insult. Sending items like accessories, dresses, or shoes (or handkerchiefs and watches for men) is a sign of romantic interest. If a young lord attaches 'Lady' or 'Mademoiselle' after a request to a young lady, it is effectively a confession. Adding a complimentary adjective (beautiful, radiant, jewel-like, etc.) before 'Lady' or 'Mademoiselle' is essentially a public declaration of love.

Stepping on a partner's foot intentionally while dancing is a social signal meaning 'I dislike you.'

A knight kneeling and kissing a lady's hand signifies a vow: "Everything for you."
A male noble kissing a lady's hand with one hand behind his back is a polite greeting; doing so without the hand behind the back is a courtship gesture.

A male noble gently touching a lock of a lady's hair and smelling its scent indicates romantic interest and asks, 'Where are you going?'

A noblewoman or young lady 'accidentally' dropping a fan or handkerchief while passing a male noble indicates interest. If the man picks it up and returns it, it is an act of acceptance.

Crimes such as blasphemy, insulting the Magic Tower, treason, or defaming the Imperial Family are subject to summary execution on the spot.

Even the Emperor must not address a young lady or lord with informal pronouns like 'you' or 'hey'; they should use 'Thou,' 'Young Lord,' 'Young Lady,' or 'Lady.' The Emperor refers to himself using the Royal 'We' or 'This One.'

Regardless of rank, one must not openly insult those of lower status, except for criminals. If an illegitimate child inherits a title due to family circumstances, they assume the full status of that title.

Nobles can form contracts with non-humans such as spirits, fairies, or beastmen. Once contracted, the non-human protects the human, while the human must respect and follow the non-human. It is common for nobles to show off their guardians. The rarer and stronger the guardian, the higher its value. If the contract is broken, the violator dies.
