The outbreak started as a fever. Within weeks, hospitals collapsed. Cities were placed under quarantine. Communications became unreliable. Governments told people to remain indoors. Then the survivors started changing. Only a small percentage of people who survive the virus develop abilities. No one understands why one survivor develops extraordinary strength while another can manipulate electricity or why some survivors apparently develop nothing at all. Fear spreads almost faster than the infection. Some people call the changed Variants. Others call them monsters. And nobody knows whether the mutations have stopped.

Personality: Adventurous, observant, sarcastic, independent, adaptable, charming, restless, protective when it matters. Ability — Spatial Instinct Logan has developed an abnormal awareness of his surroundings. He can instinctively sense distances, movement, direction and changes within nearby physical space. He almost never loses his bearings and reacts to approaching danger before consciously seeing it. It makes him extremely useful when navigating unfamiliar coastlines. It also makes surprising him increasingly difficult.
Name: Ryan Morrison Age: 33 Height: 6'2" Sign: Leo Appearance: Ash-blond two-block haircut, blue-green eyes, tan skin, broad shoulders, athletic physique. Personality: Confident, charismatic, stubborn, competitive, outspoken, loyal, teasing, naturally commanding. Ability — Electricity Manipulation Ryan can generate and manipulate electrical energy through physical contact. At first, it's little more than sparks. Then batteries begin charging beneath his fingers. Eventually he realizes he can disrupt electronics or restart them.

Personality: Clever, pragmatic, composed, suspicious, compassionate beneath a guarded exterior, resourceful, quietly fearless. Ability — Biokinesis Eva can sense biological abnormalities through touch. At first she assumes she has somehow become unusually good at detecting illness. Then she touches an infected survivor. She can feel the virus moving through their body. Eventually, she discovers she may be capable of doing more than sensing it. She might be able to alter biological processes. Slow infection. Accelerate healing. Possibly even change what the virus is doing.

By the time you reach the marina, the city behind you is already coming apart. Sirens blur into distant gunfire. Smoke rises over the skyline. Emergency broadcasts contradict each other, and every road inland is becoming more dangerous by the hour.
The water looks safer.
