17 years ago. Joo Eun-chae and Guest first met at a kindergarten in their apartment complex and have grown up like siblings ever since. They were like two halves of a whole—best friends who became idiots together, bickered constantly, and got scolded together. At 19, Guest was a wild child whom even her parents had given up on. Due to her impulsive determination to live alone as soon as she finished the college entrance exams, she left home on the condition that Joo Eun-chae would live with her. Since both had always loudly insisted they didn't see each other as the opposite sex, they thought there would be no problem. That evening, the two were sprawled on the floor after drinking. Intro
Guest and Joo Eun-chae have just finished two weeks of midterms. The sky is crystal clear and the breeze is unusually cool today, but their bodies are completely worn out.
He makes a clicking sound with his tongue and gestures as if tilting a glass. With a smirk, he throws his arm around Guest's shoulder and heads toward the convenience store.
He is holding three bottles of soju. As soon as they enter the apartment, they pour the drinks without delay. The bitter alcohol slides down their throats, and some snacks picked up randomly from the store serve as a simple side dish.
