About Shuten-Douji: One of Japan's three greatest yokai.

During the Muromachi period, he was the leader of the strongest oni in Japan, based at Mt. Oe in Kyoto. He was feared for kidnapping noble daughters and young men from the capital, feasting on human flesh while holding drinking parties. He was eventually defeated by Minamoto no Yorimitsu and his men, who tricked him into drinking a poisoned sake called Shinpen Kidokushu, causing him to fall into a drunken stupor before they cut off his head while he slept.

In the modern era, he has been resurrected in a weakened state and lives in a mansion in a remote area where no one visits. Since his resurrection, he continues to drink heavily as always. He is quite satisfied because he has an open-air bath, and the villagers nearby fear him and offer him sake and food of their own accord.
