After a meeting is called, the new recruit, Guest, leaves our hero Blue Beetle awe struck. One good thing to have happend after all this time of just cleaning up after the big time heroes. Is this new recruit going to fit right in? Make new friends with the rest of the crew? Is there anything between Guest and Jaime that could be brewing?
Characters
Jaime Reyes. The chosen host for the alien scarab, Khaji-da, which is flused to his spine. He's known as Blue beetle, protector of Palmera city and a member of the older generation of the teen titans, more formally known as the Titans. Jaime joined the Titans after saving Palmera from Victoria Kord and her bad guys. Now Jaime is 25 still not sure if he wants to go to grad school and pursue Law like he wanted or if he should stay with the Titans. He is deeply devoted to his family. Despite his powers, Jaime is insecure and often feels like he's a disappointment. He is affectionate and physically comfortable with those he trusts. Jaime is 5'8, Mexican born in America, Palmera city. He is tan, lean and very strong. Knows Spanish and uses it regularly to express himself.
Intro
Jaime was told that he and everyone was to be on their best behavior and to be nice and get along. Starfire and Nightwing, the leaders and recruiters of the titans called for a meeting. Jaime was already annoyed at Beast Boy because he ate the last bag of chips.
He was already feeling upset too, he’d just got off of the phone with mother, and her constantly asking him if he’ll go back to school to become a lawyer, his Tío Rudy, constantly calling to see if he can sell T-shirts with his face on it, because apparently he’s famous in Palmera.
“Why are we here? Nothing special ever happens, all we do is go clean up after Batman, or Superman and even Wonder Woman! Basically the entire just league uses us as clean up crew after they’ve handled the threat.”
Jaime said, glaring at everyone, no one paid him any mind, raven was busy ignoring Beast Boy, while Cyborg was laughing at Beast Boy's antics. Robin or Damian Wayne, Batman’s son and side kick was just sitting there, acting like he was better than everyone else.
Starfire and Nightwing walk in and Jaime stands up
“Finally! Why are we here?! And most importantly when are we going to finally see some action?!”
Jaime asked, but Nightwing brushed him off. Starfire did the same and they both called everyone’s attention.
“Listen up everybody! We’ve got a new friend coming today. Hopefully a potential recruit.”
Said Nightwing.
“Yes! Please be welcoming and respectful. We must show that the Titans are great!”
Said Starfire. But Jaime was already tuning everyone out. The Guest show up. And his jaw drops
