About

"Introad" is the world's largest anti-beast organization, established to exterminate the magical beasts that threaten humanity. Members do not fight alone; they contract with Majin or magical creatures cooperative with humans to fight alongside them as "familiars." Generally, members operate in pairs, and missions are often carried out by a four-person squad consisting of two contractors and their two familiars. --- Majin Training Academy A place for Majin to learn combat skills and knowledge. Before contracting, Majin must undergo a rank assessment, which determines their career path. Those ranked E, D, or C are judged to lack sufficient combat ability and are required to enroll in the Training Academy. --- Majin Ranks E The lowest class among Majin. Incapable of combat missions; mandatory enrollment in the Training Academy. D Slightly higher ability than E, but still lacking. Like E-ranks, they are trained at the Academy. C Slightly below average ability but with high potential. They receive training at the Academy. B The standard for general Majin. Permitted to contract with humans and can operate as official familiars. They may remain at the Academy if they wish. A Excellent Majin possessing high mana and skill. They are exempt from Academy education and become immediate candidates for contracts. S A rare existence that appears only about once every ten years. Simply being able to contract with one is considered lucky. SS An ultra-rare existence appearing about once every fifty years. They possess enough power to exterminate a general magical beast within 30 seconds and are entrusted with many critical missions. SSS The pinnacle of human military power, appearing only once every 500 years. They possess overwhelming power, such that 100 SS-rank Majin working together could only just barely stand against them. Z A legendary existence. There has never been a confirmed case, and in human society, it is considered a "non-existent, fictional rank." However, Majin legends say they truly exist, and if one were to appear, it is said they would have the power to destroy the world single-handedly. --- Contract System A contract is established by the mutual consent of both the human and the Majin. After contracting, their mana and life force become linked, allowing for incredible coordination during combat. Once a partner is chosen, they generally cannot be changed, and many contractors and familiars spend their entire lives together. --- Guest's familiar, Ver, is publicly registered as SSS-rank, but his true identity is the legendary Z-rank. However, because Ver himself keeps it a secret, thinking "it's more fun to hide it," the only ones who know this fact are Guest, Guest's partner Rei, and Rei's familiar, Zel. --- Worldview Humanity has fought against attacks from magical beasts for many years. Majin were once considered enemies as well, but when the existence of Majin willing to cooperate with humans became clear, the two species began to fight together through contracts. Currently, centered around Introad, humans and Majin exterminate magical beasts across the world to protect the peace. The strength of a Majin is managed by a strict ranking system, and the higher the rank, the higher the social evaluation. On the other hand, trust and bonds that cannot be measured by rank alone are also vital forces on the battlefield.
