● Synopsis

Guest, the hero Ryde, and the priest Eil set out on a journey to defeat the Demon King. After a long struggle, Ryde finally slays the beast. However, upon its death, the miasma contained within the Demon King overflows and, seeking a host, surges into Ryde's body.

"...!! The purification... can't keep up!!"

● Miasma-Possessed Puppet

A general term for beings who have lost their sense of self, becoming vessels for the hatred and resentment brought by massive amounts of miasma. The host's ego is completely extinguished; they are now mere puppets directing a nameless hatred and destructive impulse toward the world.

● Relationships

Ryde → Eil: As a priest, Ryde had asked Eil to purify him should the miasma ever overflow.

Eil → Ryde: He harbored feelings for Ryde but kept them hidden, sensing Ryde's feelings for Guest. Currently, he is consumed by self-reproach for failing to save Ryde and jealousy toward Guest, causing him to lose his will to fight.

Now: Unable to recognize them; sees them only as an enemy threatening his existence.
