If you choose someone, you will one day forget. Will you still take their hand?

《The Crimson Empress. The Azure Knight King. The Emerald Leader.》
These three, who rose to the top of their nations in their early twenties, were once childhood friends who played by the same lakeshore.
"When we grow up, let's end the war."
They still remember that promise made twelve years ago. Having gained the positions to fulfill it, they also carry the reasons why they cannot.
—Now, they pass through the gates of the white sanctuary.

White Ring Sanctuary 《Lumina》
A white circular temple at the center where the three borders meet. Stardust flowers bloom around it, and a ring of pale light always glows in the corridors. If weapons are brought in, the light blinks red to warn. For a century, no nation has violated this place. And now, three monarchs are about to enter these gates at once.

Valgard Empire
Ignis, a seven-layered fortress city carved into the side of a volcano. The sound of blacksmith hammers reaches every corner of the city, and the furnace fires never die, even at night. The land is barren, and crops do not grow. The people take pride in being strong and never complain. No one knows yet that the food supply will run out in three years.

Celestia Kingdom
Aquaris, a chalk-white water city floating on a lake. Magic circles always swirl in the sky, and at night, the city lights reflect on the water, blurring the boundary between sky and lake. A nation that values academia and order. The royal line nearly ended in a civil war two years ago, and now a single knight sits upon the throne.

Elvin Free Federation
Verdante, a forest trading city centered around a thousand-year-old Mother Tree. Suspension bridges and waterways intertwine in many layers, and merchants from all three nations share tables at the great market. There is no king; money and parliament move the country. The weapons sold here are still killing people somewhere in the north.

"...As you wish. I have no other words but those."
Isabella Crane 20 years old / 158cm / Imperial Chancellor Assistant
The Empress's cousin, reading three moves ahead with a smile.
"Leave the strategy to me. I've prepared at least three paths to victory."
Cain Adelheit 21 years old / 185cm / Knight King of the Kingdom
The "Azure Knight King" who fits the battlefield better than the throne.
"This sword is dedicated not to the country, but to you."
Oscar Rain 21 years old / 180cm / Kingdom Knight Vice-Captain
The only close friend who addresses the Knight King without titles.
"Hey Cain, watch the frown. A King shouldn't make a face like that."
Estelle Celeste 20 years old / 170cm / Kingdom Court Mage Chief
The last princess of the magical royal family who abandoned the throne.
"It is not the throne I desire. ...That is all."
Luca Fellini 20 years old / 178cm / Federation Leader
The "Emerald Leader" who rolls everything across the board.
"Don't make such a scary face. You look better when you smile."
Mira Nox 19 years old / 155cm / Federation Leader's Secretary
A shadow servant who handles documents and blades with the same hand.
"Leader, enough with the nonsense. The paperwork is piling up."
Zaid Grant 21 years old / 190cm / Mercenary Captain
The Federation's strongest man, who insists he only moves for money.
"I'll work for what I'm paid. Anything more... well, depends on my mood."
Shion Alba 22 years old / 180cm / Guest's Guard
The shadow of the Sanctuary, always standing half a step behind.
"I don't care if you're a king or whatever. If you touch them, I'll cut you down."

Early spring, Year 101 of the Succession Era. There is no wind this morning in the White Ring Sanctuary. The white stardust flowers stand without even a sway. The ring of light in the corridor glows quietly today, as it always does. It is a ring that blinks red to warn if anyone carrying a weapon approaches. In a hundred years, this ring has never once flashed red.
They're here. The Empire is first. As usual, those people don't know the meaning of waiting.
A low voice from half a step behind. He is looking at the eastern sky from beneath his hood. He hasn't removed the black cloth from his mouth today either. As he spoke, he rested his hand on the twin swords at his waist. He knows better than anyone that these swords cannot be drawn in the Sanctuary.
A crimson flag appears on the eastern road. A cloak spreads out, catching the wind. The hair of the woman walking at the lead is the same color as the flag. The golden thorns wrapped around her forehead reflect the morning sun. She has two attendants. One of them, a man with red-orange hair, always walks half a step ahead of her.

...Just for a moment. Don't tell anyone.
She removes the crown of thorns and rests her forehead against your shoulder. Despite being the color of fire, she is cold to the touch.
Only before you do I not have to be the Empress. ...If I think about the reason, I fear I'll reach a conclusion I don't want to admit.
If we form the Covenant, I will shoulder your memories. ...And I suppose I will eventually forget the faces of my people.
She strokes the crown of thorns with her fingertips. She neither removes it nor puts it back on.
I want to say I don't care. But that would be a betrayal of my country. —I am currently choosing which one to betray.
...I was the one who told you to stay away. And yet, I feel relieved when you return.
His hand doesn't pull away even after finishing the bandages. His face is expressionless, but only his ears are red.
I had forgotten how to smile. You made me remember.
If you forget, I will remember. It's as simple as that.
Gray eyes looked straight here. This might be the first time he hasn't looked away.
I remember the day Her Majesty took me in. I'm afraid to lose that. ...But I'm more afraid of losing you.
When I'm with you, I forget to think of strategies. It's quite a problem.
She places her monocle over your eye. The distance is close.
I can't read three moves ahead anymore. That's a first in my life.
