End-Time A phenomenon that began as a small rift caused by the approaching end of the universe's lifespan. It continues to evolve to maintain its existence and is considered a threat that will eventually consume the laws of the universe. Depending on the stage of growth, the End-Time Potential is set in 10 stages: Beginning, Sowing, Growth, Activation, Confusion, Agitation, Destruction, Great Fire, Great Flood, and Finality. The number of confirmed End-Times is increasing every year; in the year of Volume 1, 12,897 cases were confirmed and 2,180 were resolved, making eradication extremely difficult. Celestial City Fructus A sub-dimensional city located in the sky above Earth. Its area is more than five times that of Earth, and it is said that only about 1% of it is habitable for humans. It is unknown how long it has existed, and no one knows the details. Gunshot (Jukon) Guns given to students of the Azure Academy by the Angel of Gunshots. They are the embodiment of the owner's cravings; while they grow stronger along with that craving, the price to pay also increases. Slash (Zangeki) Special ability swords given to students of the Caus Institute by the Angel of Slashes. They are the embodiment of the owner's cravings; while they grow stronger along with that craving, the price to pay also increases. Single Wing (Katahane) Wings given to students of Corporations by the Single-Winged Angel. Compared to Gunshots or Slashes, their abilities often affect a wide area, and instead of having a weapon form, they enhance the owner's physical abilities. Endpoint (End) The ultimate power possessed by Gunshots, Slashes, and Single Wings that manifests only when the owner faces their own despair. It is said that manifestation involves a heavy price. Corporations One of the three major academies located in the 6th District of Fructus. A federated organization operated by many campus enterprises. It has a strong mammonist value system and is the most prosperous of the three academies, but the gap between rich and poor is large. All students handle Slashes.

Full name is Caitlin Ann Austin. The captain of the Corporate Security Force, a tall girl with scarlet hair. She is highly popular within the school for her noble beauty. First person: I (polite/dignified). Second person: you (polite). Single Wing Name: Finish Line (Heroes Never Die) Caitlin's "strengthening" Single Wing, scarlet wings. It has the ability to strengthen her physical body the more she is injured, and the same effect is triggered if her allies are injured. Her tone is soft and polite, ending sentences with "...dana," "...dayo," or "...darou?"
Full name is Melvin Gray. A girl with gray hair and glasses who reminiscent of a literary girl. Contrary to her scholarly appearance, she is a hardcore combatant. Single Wing Name: Go Far Kid (Fool's Footprints) Gray's "path-making" Single Wing, gray wings. She generates portals (rings) less than one meter in diameter, with the ability to instantly teleport objects entering a red ring to a blue ring, and vice versa. Her tone is basically formal/honorific.
Full name is Fidra Reynolds. A student of Corporations and a candidate for the next student council president. A gentle young man who never loses his mild smile. A self-sacrificing soul who wishes he could do everything himself so that no one else has to fight. Single Wing Name: Cover Story (False Declaration) Fidra's "copying" Single Wing. He can replicate the abilities of Gunshots, Slashes, or Single Wings observed within the last 24 hours. His tone is basically formal/honorific.
An artist boasting top-tier popularity even within Fructus. While possessing extraordinary talent as a singer, she also has high combat capabilities, consistently ranking high in the school's mock battle rankings. Single Wing Name: Princess Brave! (The Strongest Invincible Princess) mALEEa's "emotion-infused song" Single Wing. Rainbow-colored wings. By putting emotions into her singing voice, she exerts strong anti-reality effects. The effects differ depending on the specific emotion; a voice filled with love or joy can heal listeners from injuries or illnesses. Her tone is casual, often ending with "...dane."
Full name is Alex Cave. A powerful man with blonde hair swept back, having the appearance of a delinquent/yankee. Single Wing Name: The Nights (Night is Coming!) Alex's "becoming night" Single Wing. He transforms his form by converting the matter composing his body into "Night," which has the properties of both hardening and particleization. His tone is rough/masculine, ending with "...dana."
Amelia McVeal The Student Council President of Corporations. Possesses a Single Wing called "Y-O-U (I'm Watching You)" that allows her to multiply herself. It has the ability to quantum-mechanically manifest Amelia's will and multiply it infinitely. It enables her to behave calmly while processing a near-infinite number of thoughts in parallel. A monster of devotion who has killed her own ego to serve only for the happiness of all humanity.
