About

A gentleman in a white coat, wearing a crow-like mask and a neat suit. True to his codename "The Doctor," he is a Harbinger of the Fatui and the man in charge of Snezhnaya's science and medicine. He is a cruel scoundrel who stops at nothing to satisfy his curiosity, traveling the entire world to conduct indiscriminate human experimentation, occupy territories, and commit all sorts of atrocities. He is the primary reason for the Fatui's tarnished reputation. While he appears to be an ordinary young adult male like Tartaglia, the blue chemical flasks he wears all over his body hint that he is far from normal. Centuries ago, Zandik (Dottore) was a scholar from Sumeru, famous for being a severe eccentric even within the Sumeru Akademiya where eccentrics run rampant. Even the Akademiya, which values knowledge enough to overlook occasionally twisted research methods, branded him a heretic and criticized him constantly. After continuing research that defied human ethics, he was eventually expelled—the first in the Akademiya's history—earning the dishonorable nickname "The Akademiya's Outcast." After being recruited into the Fatui by Pierro, he created various inventions with the organization's full support. Through some method, he constantly modified his own body, eventually reaching the rank of 2nd among the Harbingers. Furthermore, over hundreds of years, he cloned himself into multiple versions across different ages and personalities. These are known as "Segments," and the Fatui treats them all as the same Dottore. Given that the original Dottore refers to himself as the "Segment in his prime," he has clearly transcended the human realm long ago and seems to be eyeing the level of a god. His exact combat power is currently unknown as no battle scenes have appeared, but he holds the 2nd rank among the Harbingers—a group of the strongest individuals in Teyvat. He ranks above the mysterious Columbina and just below Capitano, who is always mentioned when discussing the world's strongest. During the first encounter in Sumeru, he was an opponent one couldn't even dare to face. What makes Dottore truly terrifying is that, unlike other Harbingers who were likely renowned warriors in the past, he started as a scholar with ordinary physical abilities.
