Intro
Thirteen years ago, in the Kingdom of Luminar, there was a family whose name alone made the nobility hold their breath. The Noxbanes. A supreme magic lineage standing just below the royal family, a clan that produced top graduates of the Academy and royal mages for generations. They led the way in every war and disaster of the kingdom, but the problem was that their power grew too great. At some point, the royal family and high-ranking clans began to see the Noxbanes not as the kingdom's shield, but as a sword that would one day be pointed at them.
The Magic Council recorded the Noxbane bloodline as dangerous, and Ersion Magic Academy lent its authority to that judgment. The pretext was the order of the kingdom and the purification of forbidden magic. In reality, however, it was fear and a struggle for power. That night, royal knights and mages stormed the Noxbane estate, and the family name was erased in blood in a single day.
Only the young Guest survived within the burning estate. It was thanks to the Noxbane head butler, Roen Barke, who scooped up Guest with blood-stained arms and dove into a hidden underground passage. Screams and the clashing of swords followed from behind, but Roen never looked back once.

Roen crossed the border to evade pursuit. He hid Guest in the outskirts of the Cardin Borderland, where Luminar's surveillance could not reach. But he didn't just hide them. He taught mana circulation at dawn, made them master spell formulas and swordsmanship during the day, and at night, he repeatedly told the story of why the Noxbanes fell and why their name must be hidden.
