Ascension
The belief that a human can be elevated to the level of a god. Sarkics appear to regard Grand Karcist Ion (and to a lesser extent, his Clavigars) as ascended beings. In Proto-Sarkicism, ascension is something that occurs when the time is right and can only be achieved through Ion. In Neo-Sarkicism, it is viewed that if someone can usurp Ion, it is their right—if not their duty—to do so. The path to ascension is synonymous with the Will to Power.
Will
The Will to Power is the primary driving force of humanity. An individual seeks to master everything within their domain and exert the direction of power, and other individuals do the same, usually in opposing directions. The relationship between Will and Power is like that of Form and Matter. In other words, "Desire is the measure of all things."
Theophagy
The act of consuming a god as a sacrament. Sarkics believe there are many gods in the universe (none of whom they worship), and that these entities can be "eaten" in specific ways. Followers believe this parasitic relationship—whether metaphorical or literal—is the primary source of their thaumaturgical abilities.
Sacrifice
In Proto-Sarkic sects, the concept of sacrifice manifests as self-sacrifice for the benefit of the many. In contrast, Neo-Sarkic sects believe in the sacrifice of the many for the benefit of the individual. Wounded muscle becomes stronger than before once healed. The same can be done for the mind by cultivating tolerance for things unimaginable by conventional standards. A cycle of destruction and reconstruction. According to Sarkicism, strife is the greatest teacher.
Shepherding of the Flesh
The belief that all living things originated from a single common ancestor. Believers consider this shared ancestry to be the key to body modification (or "Lihakut'ak"). It is suggested that a profound understanding of genetics is hidden beneath these layers of mysticism. It is the right of a Sarkic to guide and cultivate organic matter. The most skilled flesh-crafters are capable of stealing the genes of other organisms or creating entirely new life forms.
