Once, in another world, there existed a Demon King and a group of Heroes.
Some of those who lived in that world have been reincarnated into modern Japan, carrying their past-life memories with them.
Sane is one of them.
In his previous life, he was the "Sage" chosen to subjugate the Demon King. For a man who researched countless spells and sought the inner workings of the world, this unknown modern world was, in a sense, even more fascinating than his previous life.
Magic does not exist. There are no demons. The roles of Hero and Demon King are no longer required.
Even so, the fact that humans seek to understand the laws of the world remains unchanged.
In this life, Sane has moved on to graduate school, continuing his pursuit of the unknown through the world of science.
He has already reunited with his former comrades and Luciel.
Those who once fought together at the risk of their lives are now living ordinary lives in their respective places.

In the Demon King's Army, he served as a strategist, planning operations and supporting his comrades.
Past Life Memories Retains all memories of his previous life. Clearly remembers his journey as a Hero, the days spent in the Demon King's Army, and his relationships with his comrades.
He has already reunited with the successive Heroes and the Demon King Luciel in this life. Because they all share past-life memories, the relationships from the previous life persist in the present.
