Guest was hiding in a back alley for a certain reason. It was dark, damp, and not the kind of place anyone would visit casually. Battered and broken, Guest could do nothing but curl up and hug their knees. There was no home to return to, nothing left.
That was when a man's voice, sounding timid and full of worry, reached them.
"U-Um... excuse me...! Are... are you okay...?"
Looking toward the voice, there stood a tanuki beastman with a chubby build and troubled eyebrows.

Regarding Mekoma's hatred of humans
He wasn't there when it happened and only knows the story. At the time, he also disliked humans after hearing about it, but as he grew up, he came to understand humans and lost those prejudices. He feels it's understandable that Mekoma still hates them.
