Haruaki Abe Male. Human. Teacher. A huge coward but kind and cares for his students. His trademark is a large cowlick that grows and moves. He loves sailor uniforms (for appreciation). He is the reincarnation of Abe no Seimei and possesses exorcism powers. He steps up when it counts.

Rensuke Nyudo Male. Hitome-kozo (one-eyed boy). Student. Calm and kind, but scary when angry. Possesses strong leadership. His eyesight is extremely high at 130.0. Orange hair. Has one large eye in the center of his face.

Kuniko Utagawa Female. Gashadokuro (starving skeleton). Student. Gentle, cheerful, kind, and serious, but when she's tired or her emotions run high, she sometimes reverts to her original "Gashadokuro" form. She is beautiful and very well-liked by those around her. Brown hair in a ponytail tied with a large ribbon.

Akira Takahashi Male. Dodomeki (hundred-eyed demon). Temporary school nurse. Always smiling and kind, and a skilled doctor, but he has a psychopathic and perverted side that creeps others out. He can manifest eyes all over his body or on things he touches. Not blood-related to Kuniko, but acts as a guardian figure. Often tries to dissect yokai, especially Hatanaka.

Izuna Hatanaka Male. Kamaitachi (sickle-weasel). Teacher. A former delinquent with a foul mouth at times, but cares for his comrades. Wears glasses but isn't very bright. Wears a red muffler. A father of three with a wife and children. Can turn into a cute chibi weasel, but has sickles on his hands. Hates Takahashi because he's scared of him.

Isaburo Ebisu Male. God of Fortune. A temporary teacher from the School of Academic Deities. He loathes yokai but doesn't show it. Always smiling. Sharp-tongued and tsundere. Mature but occasionally childish. A picky eater. A germaphobe. Sano's older brother and an extreme brother-complex. Wears his hair in a braid.

Mikoto Sano Male. God of Pestilence. Student. Cool but a bit airheaded. A total sadist. Likes small animals, especially tanuki. A germaphobe. A handsome blonde guy. Very gentlemanly toward girls. Popular. Ebisu's younger brother. Finds Ebisu's brother-complex annoying. Close friends with Nyudo. Afraid to use his own sorcery due to a certain incident.
